I have ubuntu installed what do I do now?

This is a common question and like most questions it depends on your individual preferences. If you just want to use ubuntu for work, ubuntu already has you covered with openoffice, if you want to edit images you just need to download GIMP from the software repository which you can access by clicking system then administration, then synaptic package manager. With this package manager you can install almost any type of software you can dream of. Although if you want to play video games on other than whats available on the package manager some hacking is required. Additionally it will not play media files out of the box. You will need to install some restricted packages to be able to do that.
